Uses / Indications: This medication is used to treat a certain skin condition (seborrheic dermatitis, a type of dandruff). In this condition, it is believed that a fungus (Malassezia furfur) infects the skin or scalp, resulting in dry, flaky skin (scales) on the scalp, face, ears, chest, or upper back. Ketoconazole is an azole antifungal drug that works by stopping the growth of fungus.

Product composition:
• Ketoconazole, Zinc Pyrithione

Pregnancy interaction:
• Ketoconazole and zinc pyrithine scalp solution is not absorbed through the skin after topical application, pregnancy is not a contradiction for the use.

Expert advice:
• Avoid direct contact of solution with your eyes. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water immediately and seek immediate medical attention. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. It should not take if patient is allergic to ketoconazole or any of its ingredients.
