Description: Arcolane Scalp soln 2% is a reddish pink liquid for topical application containing the synthetic broad spectrum antifungal agent.
Uses / Indications: Arcolane Scalp Soln. 2% Solution is an anti-fungal medicine used to treat and prevent dandruff and dry greasy scaling of the scalp (seborrhoeic dermatitis). It is also used to treat pityriasis (tinea versicolor).

- Ketoconazole scalp solution is not absorbed through the skin after topical application, pregnancy is not a contradiction for the use of Arcolane Scalp Solution 2%

- Avoid direct contact of solution with your eyes. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water immediately and seek immediate medical attention. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. It should not take if patient is allergic to ketoconazole or any of its ingredients.

- A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
- How to use:
- Moisten the hair/scalp, affected area with water and apply sufficient quantity to the scalp and gently massage it over the affected area. Should be left for 3-5 minutes and then rinsed thoroughly.

- Ketoconazole impairs the synthesis of ergestrol, a vital element in the fungal cell memebrane thus destroying the fungal cell.
