Uses / Indications: Red and raised old and new scars. Hypertrophic scars. Keloids. Treatment of erythema following resurfacing treatments with CO2 laser chemical peels and dermabrasions. Ideal for application on face hands and other exposed area as it leaves thin and smooth coating. As a prevention tool for excessive and abnormal after surgical procedures.

- Expert advice:
- Do not apply on open wounds, unhealed tissue and infected areas. Avoid application close to the eyes. Should not be used on persons with dertmatological conditions or disorders. It should be applied as soon as the skin shows signs of complete epitheliazation and/or after surgical suture have been removed, if applicable. Care should be taken to ensure the cleanliness on the scar site prior to application of silicone gel to prevent from any rashes due to poor hygeine practice. Symptoms of rashes shall be overcome by discontinuing Lysil Gel application, clean the affected area with soapy water and consult your doctor for resuming the application.
- How to use:
- Wash hands before and after use. Clean the scar with a mild soap and rinse with warm water. Thoroughly dry the scar and surrounding skin. Remove the Lysil™ from the pack. Cut the gel sheet to a required size to suit the scar area. Remove the plastic liner sheet. Place the gel sheet, adhesive side to the scar, without stretching. If necessary a light bandage or tape can be used to keep the Lysil™ in place. Initially for two to three days, use Lysil™ for 2-4 hours. For next two days use for 4-8 hrs each day. Then increase the wear time to 12-24 hours. Clean the Lysil™ with a mild soap and rinse well and dry with a non fluffy / lint free towel as and when it is required. Wash the scar and the surrounding skin area with soap, rinse well and dry. Lysil™ should be replaced when the thickness of sheet is reduced beyond its usability. Lysil™ has to be used for 2-4 months to get a very good result.
